GeneralTermsand Conditions of Salefor Chambres d’Hôtes ” Terre Mer Catalanes “, La Sentinelle du Vallespir and La Sentinelle du Cap Bear

Please note: our guest rooms are only open to adults and teenagers over the age of 12, both for safety reasons and to ensure that all our guests have as much rest as possible. The facilities are not suitable for younger children or babies.

Article 1: Purpose :

This contract is for the exclusive use of booking bed and breakfast stays. We are committed to personally welcoming our guests with all the care and attention required to make their stay and discovery of the region as enjoyable as possible.

Article 2: Duration of stay :

Under no circumstances may the customer who signs the present contract for a fixed term claim any right to remain in the premises.

Article 3: Reservation and conclusion of contract

The reservation becomes effective when the customer has paid the total price of the stay with a minimum of one night per room reserved and the amount is credited to the account of SARL El Gecko Catala.

Acceptance of and compliance with these terms and conditions of sale are deemed to have been accepted as soon as the full price of the holiday has been paid.

Article 4: Cancellation by the customer :

All cancellations must be notified to us by e-mail (infos@terremercatalanes) or by registered letter sent to SARL El Gecko Catala, 7 T route du château Bardou Job 66490 Vives.

We inform you that in the event of cancellation of the reservation before the beginning of the stay, and in the absence of causes of force majeure (epidemic, prohibition to travel defined by the authorities, …) it will be due an allowance fixed in the following way:

a : If cancellation occurs within 4 hours of booking and is notified by e-mail, the total price of the stay as paid will be refunded in full to allow a right of withdrawal.

b : If the cancellation is made more than 14 days before the arrival date, 90% of the total amount paid will be refunded. The 10% retained corresponds to the bank charges associated with the transactions and the handling fees associated with the refund operations.

b : If the cancellation is made between 14 and 7 days before the arrival date, 50% of the total amount paid will be reimbursed,

c : If cancellation occurs between 6 days and 48 hours prior to arrival: 30% of the total price of the stay as paid will be refunded.

d : If the cancellation is made within 48 hours of the arrival date, 0% of the total amount paid will be reimbursed,

e :If the customer does not show up before 10 pm on the day the stay is due to start, the refund conditions for a cancellation with less than 48 hours’ notice will apply and El Gecko Catala will be able to use its guest rooms for the following nights of the stay,

f : In the event of a shortened stay, El Gecko Catala retains the full cost of accommodation,

g: Cancellation insurance is not included in the price,

Refunds will be made by bank transfer after transmission of the customer’s bank details to el Gecko catala.

Article 5: Cancellation by the seller :

If, before the start of the holiday, the seller “El Gecko Catala” has to cancel the booking, it is obliged to inform the customer immediately by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt or by e-mail. The customer will then be immediately and fully reimbursed for any sums already paid, and will also receive compensation equal to 50% of that which would have been paid if the cancellation had been made by the customer on that date.

Article 6: Arrival and departure times :

The customer must arrive on the specified day between 4pm and 8pm. In the event of late or delayed arrival, the customer must inform the owner as soon as possible. Departures are in the morning until 11:00 am.

Article 7: Services included in the price of the stay :

The price per night shown is inclusive of VAT.

It includes overnight accommodation, full breakfast, bed linen, towels and bathroom linen, cleaning, tourist tax and access to common areas and facilities.

La sentinelle du Vallespir: the overnight stay gives free access to many areas (lounge, terrace and sofas facing the Canigou, balconies, garden, terrace with swimming pool and deckchairs, parking lot) but also to many facilities (wifi, self-service kettle and coffee maker in rooms, screens, sauna and spa).

La sentinelle du cap Bear: one night’s accommodation gives access to a large sea-view lounge, a sea-view balcony, a solarium terrace and deckchairs, sports equipment (bike, body-building bench, mats, weights, punching bag) as well as a range of in-room facilities: screens, wifi, kettle, self-service coffee maker.

We undertake to repair as quickly as possible any occasional malfunction of our technical equipment, which will not give rise to any reduction in the price of the nights booked.

Alsoincluded for both locations:

– A full breakfast is served between 8 and 10 am. On request and with the agreement of one of the managers, a 30-minute margin before this time slot is occasionally possible.

-Bed linen, towels and toiletries for the duration of the stay. For obvious ecological reasons and for stays of more than one night, a change of linen will not be systematically offered for stays of less than 3 days (but will be provided on request).

-Room cleaning at the beginning and end of your stay.

For stays longer than 3 days, an interim cleaning service will be offered at no extra charge.

-The tourist tax is a local tax that the customer must pay to the owner, who then transfers it to the public treasury.

Article 8: Additional services available at the Sentinelle du Vallespir in Vives :

-Electric charging point for hybrid or electric vehicles: payment for charging will be made on site according to consumption (by bank transfer, cash or Visa card).

-Table d’hôtes: a dinner consisting of a starter, main course and dessert, accompanied by your choice of a glass of local wine (for adults), can be booked 24 hours in advance. The cost of dinner and drinks must be paid on site (by bank transfer, cash or Visa card).

Article 9: Capacity :

This contract is drawn up for a specific number of people. If the number of customers exceeds this number, El Gecko Catala is able to refuse additional customers.
This refusal can in no way be considered as a modification or breach of contract on the initiative of the seller, so that in the event of the departure of a number of customers greater than those refused, no refund can be considered.

Article 10: Use of the premises :

Respect for a certain art of living is required of everyone to guarantee the peace and quiet of the premises and everyone’s comfort.

In particular, you are asked not to smoke inside your room or in common areas, except in dedicated smoking areas clearly marked as such.

The risk of fire is high in our region, so prevention is everyone’s business, and it’s imperative to respect smoking areas on certain terraces.

We expect our guests to respect the most basic rules of good manners: courtesy and kindness towards other guests and the manager, no noise disturbing others, no damage to common areas, etc.

Minors on the property are the sole responsibility of their parents or guardians.

No meals may be taken in the rooms.

Consumption of alcohol brought in from outside is prohibited.

The customer may not invite a third party onto the premises.

The customer undertakes to return the rooms in perfect condition, to systematically declare any damage for which he/she may be responsible, and to pay for any repairs or replacement.

Article 11: Our pet friends :

Pets are not allowed. In the event of a customer’s departure due to the refusal of his or her pet, no reimbursement will be made.

Article 12: Modification of sales conditions :

The present conditions of sale may be modified at any time and without prior notice.
